The horrific murder of 49 worshipers in the New Zealand mosques on 15 March is unprecedented for three key reasons:
1. It happened unprovoked in one of the most peaceful and safest country in the Asia Pacific.
2. The attacker recorded it live on FB while the heinous act took place.
3. He wrote a 74 page manifesto called the Great Replacement, which apparently (I stil cant access it on the net) to justify the killing with the aim of inspiring people and dividing people into white vs non-white, right wing vs left wing, non-Muslim vs Muslims, native-born vs migrants.
There is enough evidence to indicate that this is a well-planned attack with a recruitment manual to provoke and, God forbid, start a civil war especially in Western Europe and the U.S.
My prayers to the families and friends of the victims whose lives were taken at the most vulnerable moments of their daily lives, getting ready to worship their Creator.
If there is a sign of the events of 2019, this one may be a watershed that tears at the fabric of an already fragile civilised world.
We need to be mindful that politicians, media and analysts do not fall into the stereotypical labeling of the terrorist. He, or the hidden hands behind him, has planned it with devilish detail. But ultimately, he will be judged by God many times over for this crime.
The Voice of Truth is a voice that speaks for the voiceless, the weak, the oppressed, the lost. The Voice of Reason is a voice that appeals to wisdom, good faith and conscience. Jeremiah 30:3 "The days are coming when I will restore the fortunes of My people."
